Who We Are

A training company built to revive the relationship between people and their dogs.

Hayley Kenner and Yennifer Mejia met in 2014 through their shared work in Houston’s dog training community. They bonded over a frustration with outdated, punishment-based methods, and set out to build something different: a company grounded in science, not intimidation.

Five years in, that vision has grown into a team across four locations: our flagship studio in West University, the Recreation Club in The Heights, an 8,000-square-foot school on two acres in Spring, TX, and our newest studio in Manhattan’s East Village.

Every Revival trainer works within LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) and The Humane Hierarchy. One non-negotiable rule: Do No Harm. We build behavior with rewards, structure, and trust. And we get results that last.

What this means for

you and your dog.

Six concrete things you can expect from working with a Revival trainer, from the first session to the last.

Training that is actually enjoyable.

We build good behavior with rewards, play, and praise. Never pain or fear. Your dog learns faster because learning feels good.

A calmer, more confident dog.

Our methods lower stress and build confidence, especially for fearful and reactive dogs who have struggled elsewhere.

A better relationship, not just a trained dog.

We teach you the skills too, so results stick long after your program ends.

Real-world skills for real city life.

From leash reactivity to potty training in a high-rise, we train for the life you actually live.

You are always in the loop.

Daily photo and video updates mean you see your dog progress every step of the way.

A program built around your dog.

Every curriculum is customized to your dog temperament, history, and your specific goals.

Our Training Standards.

Good training isn’t about one certification on the wall. It’s about the standards a team holds itself to every day. From the credentials our trainers earn to the science-based frameworks we follow and the ongoing education we require, here’s the work behind every dog we take on.

CPDT-KA Certified.

Each Revival facility is led by a CPDT-KA certified head trainer. The Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge Assessed credential from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers is the field most widely recognized standard.

LIMA-Committed.

We follow LIMA, Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive, the welfare-first standard for behavior change.

The Humane Hierarchy.

Every program follows the science-based framework that puts the dog wellbeing above every training decision.

Structured Apprenticeship Program.

New trainers shadow senior team members for months before they take a case on their own.

Ongoing Continuing Education.

Every trainer logs continuing education hours each year: APDT conferences, behavior modification workshops, and current research.
